Rakhi Sawant, the actress and former Bigg Boss contestant known for her unapologetic, bold persona, is once again making waves in the media, this time due to rumours surrounding her third marriage. The ‘drama queen’ herself has stirred up a storm with her latest claims that she is set to marry Pakistani actor and producer Dodi Khan and the two plan to settle in Dubai after their wedding.
Rakhi opened up about the marriage proposals she’s been receiving, revealing that people had been particularly sympathetic towards her following the challenges of her previous marriages. She shared, “I have been getting many proposals. When I visited Pakistan, they saw how I was harassed in my previous marriages. I will definitely select one prospect,” in an interview with ETimes.
She didn’t shy away from expressing her fondness for Pakistan, adding, “Indians and Pakistanis can’t do without each other. I love Pakistani people, and I have many fans there.”
Who Is Dodi Khan?
As for the identity of her future husband, Rakhi spoke warmly of Dodi Khan, who is reportedly not just an actor or filmmaker but also a police officer. The couple is said to be planning a traditional Pakistani wedding with Islamic rituals, followed by a reception in India. The honeymoon? Well, Rakhi and Dodi are planning to jet off to either Switzerland or the Netherlands before making Dubai their permanent home.
On January 27, Dodi Khan himself added fuel to the fire by sharing a video on Instagram, asking, “Rakhi ji ye bataiye baraat leke India aana hai ya Dubai?” Rakhi responded in her signature playful style, flooding the comment section with laughing emojis and a sweet message: “I love you all my friends. I love you all in any condition. You guys are supporting me. I love you all.”
However, as expected, not everyone is convinced by this ongoing romance. Some social media users quickly dismissed the news as a “publicity stunt,” suggesting that the two aren’t actually getting married.
Rakhi’s love life has certainly been nothing short of dramatic. Just last year, in 2023, she was embroiled in a public feud with her ex-husband, Adil Khan Durrani. Their messy relationship was filled with accusations and counterclaims, with both of them filing multiple cases against each other. The two had married in 2022 in a traditional ceremony, with Rakhi even converting to Islam and adopting the name Fatima. Yet, by the first half of 2023, their marriage hit rock bottom, with Rakhi filing for divorce, citing allegations of cheating and domestic violence.
