New Delhi, Mar 12 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday spoke with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian amid escalating tensions in West Asia, emphasising the need to protect civilians and ensure the safety of Indian nationals in the region.
In a post on X, PM Modi expressed concern over the rising hostilities and the damage caused to civilian infrastructure. He reiterated that the unhindered movement of goods and energy supplies remains a top priority for India.
The Prime Minister pushed for a return to dialogue and diplomacy to restore stability.
Notably, The discussion comes amid growing international concern over the conflict’s potential to disrupt global trade and energy security.
