The first semi-final of the Kilo North Kashmir Premier League-2025 was a cricketing extravaganza that enthralled fans and left an indelible mark on everyone involved. After winning the toss Lazzat Sopore decided to bat first and got off to a good start despite losing some early wicket. Valuable knocks from Fayaz Sarwar, Shabbir Lefty and Nasser took their team to a fighting total of 159 runs. Shehzad Lone was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets to his name as his counterparts took a wicket each.

Shaheen Sports Lalpora had the additional pressure of being the only Lolabi team left in the tournament. That pressure showed as they lost early wickets in blistering spells by Yasir Kuligami and Owais Baba. Tottering at 48-4 in just 6 overs, it looked like Shaheen Sports Lalpora were going to bundle out cheaply.

But fate had other plans as Raja Tanveer and Shahid Mir took matters in their own hands and started dominating Lazzat’s bowling. Raja’s masterful strokeplay and Shahid’s nuanced innings made sure that their 114 runs partnership was enough to see Shaheen Sports Lalpora cross the finish line with an over to spare and six wickets in hand. Raja scored a memorable 80 from 51 balls and Shahid proved to be a perfect foil to his attacking play by making a well crafted 54 out of 37 balls. For his stupendous performance Raja Tanveer was rightfully adjudged as the Man of the Match and recieved his award from RJ Sahil, RJ Xeus and the amazing team from Radio Chinar.

Now we wait for the second finalist which will be decided tomorrow as Narbal XI take on Shartgund Cricket Club in another highly anticipated match.
