SOPORE, Dec. 30: In a significant step towards bolstering community safety, Sopore town inaugurated its first specialized fire safety equipment outlet on Tuesday.

The establishment, named “Fire Shield,” commenced operations in Model Town amid growing concerns over an increase in fire incidents, particularly during the winter months.

The facility is positioned to offer comprehensive fire safety solutions for residential, commercial, institutional, and governmental clients throughout the northern part of Kashmir, especially in Baramulla district.

Founder Arfat Ahmad War, speaking with the media, emphasized the venture’s foundational ethos. “Fire Shield is built to protect what matters most. Our mission is founded on zero compromise—delivering safety through trust and innovation,” he stated.

War described the enterprise as a reliable defense against fire hazards, engineered for both performance and durability.

“We provide complete solutions under one trusted brand, from reliable extinguishers to integrated safety systems—all designed to meet real-life emergency demands,” War added.

The outlet will also offer complimentary consultancy services to assist clients in selecting appropriate equipment and plans to conduct community fire safety awareness programs.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Sopore MLA Irshad Rasool Kar, who served as chief guest.

Kar commended the initiative, labeling it a vital and long-needed resource for north Kashmir.

“Considering the recurring fire incidents across northern Kashmir, especially in the Sopore constituency, such a dedicated outlet is essential. It will provide critical support during emergencies and cater to the broader safety requirements of north Kashmir,” the MLA observed.

Fire Shield pledges to supply professional-grade, user-friendly safety products at accessible price points, establishing itself as a frontline partner in regional fire prevention and emergency response.
