Sopore, June 24 ; Nahida Nabi, a sportswoman from Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, has cleared the Level-3 Technical Official (Referee/Umpire) examination conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association, officials said.
The examination was held on July 31, 2025, at Srinagar, in which over 100 candidates from various districts of the valley participated.
Nabi secured an ‘A’ Grade in the examination, an honour awarded to candidates scoring above 90 per cent marks, according to the association.
Earlier this year, Nahida, who is also a kabaddi coach and wrestler, had earned a spot at the national level, becoming the only sportsperson from Jammu and Kashmir to be selected and participate in the 72nd Senior National Kabaddi Championship (Women). The event was held at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Telangana.
This is her second major achievement in the sport this year, officials added.
