Srinagar, Oct 27 : During the ongoing Autumn session of the J&K Assembly, Sopore Constituency MLA Irshad Rasool Kar accused the house of being provided with ‘incorrect information.’
MLA Kar raised the issue, stating that the assembly had been misinformed regarding the SRTC Yard in Sopore. He asserted that he possesses the correct official order on the matter, characterizing the official reply from the concerned authorities as “non-serious.”
He appealed to the Honorable Speaker of the house to take cognizance of the issue and take action against those responsible for misinforming the legislative body.
In response, the Speaker assured the MLA that the matter would be taken up.
The accusation arose during an inquiry by MLA Irshad Rasool Kar regarding modern transport facilities for the constituency.
In a formal reply, the concerned authorities confirmed that concrete steps are being taken to address the infrastructural needs of growers, traders, and the general public in and around Asia’s second-largest fruit market.
