Srinagar, Dec 27 : The Shah Rasool Welkin Educational Institution football team from Sopore is ecstatic after defeating their rival team, Sanctorum, in the final of the tournament, which took place in the summer capital of Srinagar and was organized by the Reliance Foundation.
Both teams displayed extraordinary skills throughout the tournament, securing their positions at the top of the table.
The Sopore teams exhibited a high level of spirit and competitiveness in their matches against each other, which was evident in the final game that SRM won with a score of 3/2.
With the intention of defeating their rival team, SRM Welkin, the players took to the field with determination, scoring their first goal within the first 20 minutes. However, Sanctorum retaliated and equalized the score. Nevertheless, SRM’s exceptional play allowed them to conclude the first half with a score of 2/1.
In the second half, the SRM players not only showcased their skills but also prevented the opposing team from equalizing the score.
During the final minutes of the match, SRM scored another goal, solidifying their victory.
The final match between the two Sopore football teams was as intense as an India-Pakistan cricket match.
From the first minute of the game, the enthusiasm and determination to win the trophy were palpable from both teams.
