Ganderbal; Travel restrictions have been imposed in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to ensure the safety of travelers.

The authorities have decided to only allow vehicles with anti-skid chains and 4×4 vehicles to travel on the Gagangeer to Sonamarg route. This decision has been made due to the slippery road conditions caused by snowfall and frost.

An official told The Web Story/The Varmul Post, this order will be enforced immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.

Pertinently, the higher reaches of Kashmir have experienced fresh snowfall, bringing an end to the long dry spell. In contrast, the plains have received rain.
