Sopore resident, among four Kashmiri, has made their entry into the Indian Physically Disabled Men’s Team for the five-match T20 series against England.

The series will be held in Ahmedabad from January 28th to February 6th and is organized by the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI), with the support of BCCI.

An official told The Web Story/ The Varmul Post that the selected Kashmiri players for the Team India Squad including Wasim Iqbal (batsman), Jaffer Amin Bhat (batsman), Majid Ahmad Magray (off-spinner), and Aamir Hasan (fast bowler).

As per official details Aamir Hasan Rather, a 23-year-old resident of Tarzoo Sopore, has previously represented Team India in 2019 during the physical disabled world cricket series tournament in England.

Local reports told The Web Story/ The Varmul Post, Amir was just six months old, his right hand got burnt and had to be amputated due to an infection.

Despite his physical challenges, Aamir is an exceptional fast bowler, capable of bowling at 130 kmph.

He has also represented Jammu and Kashmir in the under 19 school nationals.
