Bandipora, Aug 02: A day after announcing resignation from the Apni Party, workers affiliated with former MLA Bandipora Usman Majid leveled serious allegations against Apni Party President Syed Altaf Bukhari, labeling him as part of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).

Addressing the media in Bandipora, Wasif Mir, a youth leader and Public Relations Officer (PRO) to Usman Majid, stated as per The Web Story/The Varmul Post that Altaf Bukhari serves the interests of the Bhartiya Janta Party in the valley and promotes their agenda in Kashmir, not acting as just an A or B team.

When questioned about a few members claiming to still be part of the party, he remarked that all cadres of the party have been dissolved and have resigned along with all workers from other parties.

He further assured that the workers will stand united with Usman Majid and will follow his decisions. “We have worked for the people of Bandipora and will continue this endeavor in the future,” he affirmed.

Pertinently, Apni Party Vice President Usman Majid has resigned from the party along with his workers from the Bandipora constituency on Thursday.

The former MLA from Bandipora stated, “I discussed with my supporters in the Bandipora constituency, and we (all units of the Bandipora constituency) have unanimously decided to quit the Apni Party for the betterment of Bandipora.”

The former members of the Apni Party in Bandipora believe that this step is necessary to realign their efforts and strategies in a manner that more effectively serves the interests of the people of Bandipora.

Mr. Majid told The Web Story/The Varmul Post that he, along with the entire cadre, expresses gratitude for the support and trust placed in them by their constituents during their tenure with the Apni Party.

“We assure the public that our dedication to the welfare and development of Bandipora remains unwavering. The next course of action will be determined in the coming days after thorough and deliberate consideration with the existing cadre and well-wishers. This period of reflection and consultation will ensure that any future steps are taken with the best interests of the people of Bandipora in mind. Our goal is to forge a path that is more attuned to the aspirations and expectations of the people of Bandipora,” he added.
