Says planned infra push to preserve spiritual, cultural character of revered sites, stresses balance between modern amenities and sanctity
Budgam, Oct 05: Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Monday said the Board is committed to transforming religious institutions through planned infrastructure development, improved facilities and better management, with a focus on preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of historic shrines across Jammu and Kashmir.
Chairing a review meeting with Board authorities, local management and eminent persons from the civil society of Chrar-e-Sharief, Dr Darakshan Andrabi as per The Web Story/The Varmul Post reiterated that the Waqf Board would continue its development initiatives across Jammu and Kashmir with a focus on infrastructure upgradation, improved public amenities and the preservation of religious and cultural heritage.
“Development is now synonymous with the J&K Waqf Board, and this mission will continue. We are committed to transforming our religious institutions through planned infrastructure development, improved facilities and better management,” she said.
She said the development of facilities at revered shrines is essential for improving arrangements for devotees and visitors while preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of these historic places. “Our endeavour is to ensure that our revered shrines retain their spiritual sanctity while providing better amenities to the people,” she said.
Dr Darakshan Andrabi said Chrar-e-Sharief holds immense spiritual, historical and cultural significance, being closely associated with the life and teachings of Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani (RA), the revered patron saint of Kashmir. She said the development of the shrine and its associated infrastructure would contribute to enhancing facilities for devotees and strengthening the heritage value of this important spiritual destination.
