In an extraordinary medical case, a baby boy was born with a total of 13 fingers and 12 toes in Karnataka’s Bagalkote district.
The family believes this is a divine blessing.
The baby has six fingers on his right hand and seven on his left hand, as well as six toes on each foot. Both the baby and his mother, 35-year-old Bharathi, are reported to be in good health.
Bharathi expressed her joy at the news of her healthy baby boy. The father, Gurappa Konoor, shared Bharathi’s sentiment, stating the family’s happiness with the new arrival.
The condition is known as Polydactyly, a rare genetic anomaly that results in extra fingers and toes in infants reported India Today.
