CRPF’s Medical Outreach in Shopian: A Step Towards Better Health

Shopian: In a significant community outreach, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a free medical camp at the Higher Secondary school ground in Imamsahib. This initiative, involving the 178th and 14th Battalion of the CRPF, was held in the Immamsahib area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The camp was inaugurated by Shri Surjit Kumar, Commandant of the 178th Battalion of CRPF and Commandant14th Battalion CRPF Shailendra Yadav . The event was graced by the presence of Tehsildar Immamsahib, SHO Immamsahib, and other officers, along with local eminent personalities.

The medical camp featured doctors from the CRPF and Civil Doctors, including the Block Medical Officer. They conducted free medical check-ups and consultations, and distributed medicines to the attendees free of cost.

The event was widely appreciated by locals, who expressed their gratitude to the CRPF for organizing such beneficial programs. They also requested the CRPF to continue hosting such events in the future, highlighting the need for such initiatives, particularly for the poor and needy.

Commandant Surjit Kumar, in his conversation with reporters, highlighted the 178th Battalion of CRPF’s consistent efforts in organizing numerous civic action programs in the area. He noted the substantial turnout at the camp, with over 500 individuals, including women, children, and senior citizens from the area, benefiting from the services provided.

Commandant Kumar further assured the local public of the CRPF’s unwavering support to the people of Kashmir. He emphasized the CRPF’s commitment to societal development, peace, and prosperity, and reiterated their dedication to organizing similar civic programs in the future for the benefit of the local community.

The medical camp was a resounding success, examining nearly 500 patients, including a significant number of women and children. The event demonstrated the CRPF’s commitment to the community and its dedication to fostering positive change in society.

The locals from the area expressed their appreciation for the CRPF’s efforts and requested more such events in the future. They highlighted the need for these programs, particularly for the benefit of the poor and needy, and expressed their gratitude to the CRPF for their efforts.
