After the efforts of locals and police, the body of a girl, who drowned in river Jhelum in north Kashmir’s Baramulla town on December 31st was recovered in Veerwan area on Thursday, officials said.
A police official said that a girl drowned in river Jhelum near Khanpora bridge in Baramulla on December 31,2022 and was untraceable till date.
“The girl’s body was recovered in the Veerwan area of Baramulla, a kilometre downstream from the spot of drowning,” a top police official told The Web Story
They said the girl’s body was retrieved by locals along with police this afternoon.
