As the National Conference-Congress Alliance has been finalized for the upcoming assembly elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a few leaders are believed to play a key role in this alliance.
Sources close to the top leadership of both parties revealed to The Web Story/The Varmul Post that in the NC-Congress Alliance, some leaders are believed to be the game-changers, and among the recently joined Congress party, Advocate Irfan Hafeez Lone is considered a key player for the Congress party in a few seats in north Kashmir.
Sources said that Irfan Hafeez Lone, a former DDC member, has a strong hold not only in the Wagoora-Kreeri seat where he is contesting this assembly election, but also in some parts of the Sopore constituency and Baramulla constituency, and his strong position will help the party in taking leads in these constituencies.
Sources said that Irfan Hafeez’s previous performance, considering his potential, could be a game-changer for the Congress party in this assembly election.
With the recent delimitation, some of Irfan Hafeez’s stronghold areas have now come under the Sopore constituency, including Sangrama, Seer villages, Lalad, Amargrah and Tarzoo, and sources say that Irfan had a deep connection with the people in these areas, and the people are also impressed with Irfan Hafiz’s work.
Similarly, on the other side, due to Irfan Hafeez’s people-friendly nature, some areas from the Baramulla constituency, such as Nowpora, Shakwara, and Delina, which are considered significant areas, have also been added to the constituency, and sources said that Irfan Hafiz Lone has won the hearts of the people in these areas as well, and it is believed that in both constituencies, the Congress party will get a significant edge due to Irfan Hafiz.
Irfan Hafeez has always won the hearts of the people through his friendly nature and active connection with them, and in this election, too, eyes are set on Irfan Hafiz, and it is said that he will achieve his victory in the Wagoora-Kreeri seat.
On the other hand, after Irfan Hafeez Lone joined the Congress, there were several tussles in the Baramulla unit of the Congress when former PDP chief spokesperson Suhail Bukhari also joined the Congress, and sources said that after the joining of both, things were not going well, and there were several tussles over the allocations.
Regarding the tussle over the allocations, on Thursday night, both the new entrants to the Congress met and expressed their wish to support each other with mutual understanding, despite any decision from the party.
