The competition was held at Chandigarh University Mohali and saw the participation of over 1100 students from 112 universities as per The Web Story.

Kamran won five consecutive knockouts in the competition, starting with his victory over Bharat from OPJS University.

He then beat Jayant from Madhav University in the second fight and Vikrant from Jammu University in a highly competitive and crowd-pulling third fight.

In the fourth fight, Kamran emerged victorious against Vikas from CCS University in another memorable match. Finally, in the tail end of the competition, Kamran beat Sartaj from Chandigarh University to lift the trophy and win the gold medal.
