Jammu, Feb 06 : A woman from Jammu has reportedly crossed the border to Pakistan to marry a man she met on WhatsApp.

Sources told The Web Story that the 22-year-old woman, identified as Shabnam Bi, allegedly crossed the Line of Control along with her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter.

Sources said that the woman’s family has approached the Jammu and Kashmir Police, who have launched an investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile an official told The Web Story, the woman was in touch with her relatives in Pakistan as well as the man she intended to marry. However, upon crossing the border, the man refused to marry her. The woman, who also has a four-year-old daughter, took both of her children with her to Pakistan.

The official further added that the police are working to gather more information and determine the next course of action in this extraordinary love story that has crossed borders.
