All of us have heard of the importance of values in life, but in reality, these are merely the standards by which we judge what is right and wrong. Honesty, respect, tolerance, responsibility, loyalty, and other moral virtues are only a few examples.
Honesty:
Being true to oneself is the greatest virtue one should have. In today’s world, honesty has become a rare thing. People are not even honest to their parents. This is the crucial matter we have to act upon.
As Thomas Jefferson said “Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.”
Respect:
In the era of the internet, not only the youngsters but also the mature person are losing the sanity they need to show while dealing with the elderly. People have become so aggressive that they don’t know how to behave with their elders or even with their parents. One should always respect the elderly.
As G. Risch said ; “Respect is a two-way street, if you want to get it, you’ve got to give it.”
Patience:
Life,nowadays, is moving at such a pace that the youth are becoming more and more impatient. Desires are increasing at an alarming rate but they are not willing to work hard to get them, because it also requires immense patience. One should realize, with patience everything seems beautiful and meaningful. Patience is a beautiful thing and there is always a reward for it. “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.” Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Accountability:
Youth is that stage of life,where most of us make some sort of mistake. But,rarely does somebody have the courage to accept his/her fault.One should have enough courage to accept his fault and try to overcome that. As Bob Proctor said “Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to the result.”
Responsibility:
It is the biggest thing one should realize as soon as one really starts getting into his/her senses. When one starts taking responsibility for his/her own deeds and needs,life becomes really simple. As Christopher Avery said “Taking responsibility is a commitment to own your life, to self-leadership, growth, and freedom.
Loyalty:
This is the most important thing which is missing in our generation. Being loyal means being faithful. One should be loyal towards everybody not to their own people only. As Cicero, ” Nothing is more noble, nothing more venerable, than loyalty.”
Hard Work:
As many virtues are good in particular, hard work is also morally good. Hard Work makes our life good and good to others. As from hard work we learn many life lessons such as determination , problem solving and self control which serve us in many areas such as health, hobbies and so on.
According to Colin Powell, “A dream does not become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.”
Cooperation: Cooperation is a necessary pillar which we all need to succeed. As Bertrand Russell said ” the only thing that will redeem mankind is cooperation.”
We all need cooperation to tackle a situation when it is group work.
Kindness:
Kindness is changing the way we see oneself and others see us. As our kindness positively affects others, we feel more compassionate, confident, useful, and in control. We also find ourselves feeling more appreciative and optimistic. Kindness is an integral part of being a pinnacle personal and ethical man or girl due to the actuality it is a selfless act and one carried out to massively the lives of others. Kindness drives compassionate human beings and defines who they are. Kind human beings care about others’ thoughts and actions. An act of kindness can enhance feelings of confidence, being in control, happiness and optimism. They can moreover in addition inspire others to repeat the applicable deeds they have themselves contributing to a large outstanding shut through way of life.
As Amelia Earhart said “A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.”
Gratitude :
