Bandipora, Oct 13: The Parliamentarian from North Kashmir and Awami Itehad Party (AIP) chief, Shiekh Abdul Rashid, popularly known as Er Rashid, stated that the National Conference has forgotten all of its pre-election promises, particularly regarding Article 370 and discussions about restoring statehood.
In an interview with The Web Story/The Varmul Post correspondent at Bandipora, MP Er Rashid remarked that the National Conference, which had claimed it would restore the status of 1953, is not showing any signs of fulfilling that promise and has ceased discussions about restoration or statehood since coming to power.
Rashid directed questions at National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah, suggesting that he should not discourage the public with false promises. He pointed out that Abdullah seems to have forgotten his pre-election statements, indicating a significant U-turn, as he is no longer addressing the issue of Article 370 restoration.
Er Rashid further commented that Omar Abdullah appears more focused on the security features of his vehicle rather than advocating for the restoration of Article 370 and the return of statehood.
