Writes Three Books with Remarkable Resilience

Srinagar, May 12: At just 14 years old, Irtiqa Mehraj has already overcome incredible challenges that would leave many feeling defeated.
The young student from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district lost her ability to walk at the age of 11, yet has refused to let this setback define her.
Instead, she has become an inspiration to those around her, demonstrating remarkable resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
Her story serves as a testament to the power of the human spirit to overcome even the most daunting of obstacles
Talking to this reporter, Irtiqa while sharing her experience with losing the ability to walk at the age of 11, said that the trauma and depression she faced during that time was a difficult time.
She also spoke of her determination to stay motivated and overcome the challenges presented by this sudden loss of mobility.
In a remarkable display of resilience and determination, the young writer overcame personal trauma and self-doubt to become a published author of three books.
With the support of her sister and a newfound confidence in her own abilities, she found inspiration in the world around her and translated her observations into powerful prose.
“Through hard work and unwavering determination, I proved that anything is possible with a positive mindset and a strong support system,” Irtiqa added.
The Khrew young girl said that everyone in their lives is facing problems or issues, either physically or financially, but we should remember one thing: everything is temporary in this world.
The young writer said that the thought of living the rest of her life among people gave her courage and peace.
She found solace in the idea that this phase, like all others, shall pass, and therefore, there was no need to worry.
“Everyone has to live their life, regardless of their circumstances, which gave her confidence to overcome her situation,” she added.
Irtiqa Mehraj said it was tough to convey to her parents about the passion and dream at that stage when she lost her walking ability.
“I kept following my dream and I kept writing, which also later gave motivation to my parents to support me in following my dreams,” she further added.
She said she didn’t even lose hope and continued her studies.
Irtiqa has written three books: ‘The Star Shines in the Dark’, ‘The Deep Secret’, and ‘The Desires Were Illusions,” and all are available on Amazon.
Irtiqa is also a writer, public speaker, poetess, and ambassador for Ellipsis Publication.
Like Irtiqa, there are many such inspirational people around us who are living their dreams and cherishing their talent while overcoming numerous obstacles brought on by their infirmity.
Despite the setbacks in their lives, many special-abled people continue to live their lives with grace and courage.
