More snow till tomorrow: MeT
Srinagar: Night-long rain and snowfall on Friday finally ended a month-long dry spell in Kashmir, the weatherman said.
Moderate to light snowfall occurred in the higher reaches of Kashmir while it rained in the plains in a few places.
“There is a possibility of intermittent showers and snowfall in plains as well as in higher reaches of the Valley till tomorrow,” Independent Weather Forecaster, Faizan Arif predicted.
Meteorological department (MeT) officials said “Light snow (1-2 inches) likely (50% chance) in plains of Kashmir during 9th Night-10th Forenoon whereas few higher reaches may receive 4-6 inches of snow, particularly over Gulmarg, Sonamarg-Zojila-Gumri axis, Razdhan Pass, Sadhna pass, Mughal road, and sin than pass,” the MeT officials said.
