Calls Kashmir perfect, peaceful, cost-effective alternative for Indian travellers

Srinagar, Aug 30: Anupam Mittal, founder of Shaadi.com and a judge on Shark Tank India, declared Kashmir’s natural beauty and hospitality unparalleled.

During his visit to Kashmir on Saturday, Mittal as per The Web Story made a compelling case for choosing Kashmir over more expensive international destinations. “If you can experience ten times the beauty of Europe at one-tenth of the cost, why spend a fortune abroad? Come to Kashmir instead—it’s right next door. You will feel a profound sense of belonging, find your heart at home, and be genuinely delighted,” he stated.

He emphatically added that the distinctive level of hospitality found in Kashmir is unavailable anywhere else, whether in Europe or America.

Anupam Mittal affirmed that Kashmir is open to tourists, open for business, and is both safe and peaceful. “I am here with my family,” he noted, “and not for a single second have I felt anything was amiss. It is absolutely peaceful.” He extended an appeal to his fellow citizens to visit the region.

Notably, Mittal was among the first prominent national figures to advocate for travel to Kashmir following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.

At a time when fear cast a shadow over Kashmir’s hospitality sector—with hotels and houseboats vacant and travel bookings declining—Mittal’s message was clear and deliberate. He contended that the most powerful way to honor those lost to violence is not to retreat, but to return in solidarity. In a social media post, he asserted, “If we vanish, the terrorists win. If we travel, Kashmir wins and India wins.”(webstory.in)
