Ganderbal, July 19: A woman was killed while her son was injured in a road mishap in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday afternoon.

Reports reaching The Web Story/The Varmul Post indicate that the accident took place on the Srinagar-Leh road at PTS Hadipora, Ganderbal when a speeding truck hit a two-wheeler.

In the mishap, a mother-son duo were injured and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where the mother succumbed to her injuries.

A police officer also confirmed this unfortunate road mishap to The Web Story/The Varmul Post and identified the deceased woman as Asha Begum, a resident of Gund Ganderbal, while her injured son was identified as Tashooq Lone. The official further said that a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.
