Aadil Manzoor Shah, a 23-year-old singer hailing from North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, has made a name for himself as one of the most popular singers in the region. Shah comes from a family of musicians and singers. Shah’s father, Manzoor Ahmad Shah, is a renowned singer at Radio Kashmir.
Shah’s musical journey began at the tender age of 14, when he started showcasing his talent by playing instruments like the Nout, a percussion instrument commonly used in Kashmir. He created his own YouTube channel, which has helped him reach a wider audience not only in Kashmir but also within the Kashmiri diaspora.
In an interview with The Web Story, Aadil shared that his passion for music ignited in 2009. Despite facing numerous struggles and challenges in the initial stages, he worked hard to make a mark on the international music scene and even performed in concerts held in Dubai. It was during these early years that he gained recognition throughout the nation, thanks in large part to his immensely popular album titled “Kraal Koor,” released in 2014.
Aadil Shah’s artistic talents extend beyond singing. He has composed over 250 songs in recent years, collaborating with renowned artists like Shazia Bashir and Tahseena Shafi. His musical genius has led to the creation of more than 50 music video albums, all of which are widely accessible on social platforms such as YouTube and Google.
From the soulful Rabab to the melodious Harmonium, the percussive Matka, the evocative Sarangi, and the rhythmic Tabla, Adil effortlessly weaves magic with his instruments, captivating audiences with his performances.
Aadil Shah also established his own production house and theatre called the “Sadhabahar Cultural Society Cum Institution.” This initiative aims to nurture and support the abundance of artistic talent in the region, providing a platform for aspiring artists to showcase their skills and pursue their artistic dreams.
