Baramulla: January 26, 2024: Reyaz Ahmad Ganai, an educator from Government Middle School Sheeri Payeen Zone Fatehgarh, was honored with the ‘Best Innovative Educator Award 2024’ during the 75th Republic Day function held at Government Higher Secondary School Fatehgarh on Friday.

This accolade, coupled with an Award of Appreciation from Zonal Education Officer Fatehgarh for being the best teacher in the Zone, marks a momentous achievement in Mr. Ganai’s illustrious career.
The award and appreciation presented by chief guest Block Development Officer (BDO) Narvaw Executive Magistrate Ist Class Naveed Javid who was flanked by Principal Higher Secondary School Audoro Imtiyaz Ahmad, Principal Higher Secondary School Fathegarh Dr. Shamim Ahmad Bhat and Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Fategarh Ashiq Hussain Kar and other guests present on the occasion.
Reyaz Ahmad Ganai received accolades for his outstanding performance in fostering a scientific temperament among students, a commendable effort that earned him the recognition from the administration. He was presented with an award of appreciation from Zonal Education Officer Fatehgarh, being acknowledged as the best teacher in the Zone.
Reyaz Ahmad Ganai’s commitment to education and innovative teaching methodologies also earned him a spot among 350 teachers nationwide to participate in the prestigious Aspiring India National Science Teachers Workshop at the India International Science Festival (IISF) 2023, which took place from January 17–20, 2024 at DBT-THSTI-RCB Campus, Faridabad, Haryana. The IISF was organized by Department of Science and Technology and National Innovation Foundation Government of India (GoI).

In addition to his national recognition, one of his notable achievements includes mentoring a student, Shahida Bano, who represented Jammu and Kashmir at the international level in the Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Programme in Science. Under Mr. Ganai’s guidance, Shahida not only won the Inspired National Award but also emerged as the winner in the Invent India Challenge on Colors TV, securing a Rs 10 lakh award. Shahida’s success in the National Technology Week 2023 further showcased her innovative prowess, with Mr. Reyaz Ahmad Ganai playing a pivotal role in her achievements.
