Sopore, Sep 28: Congress youth leader Kanhaiya Kumar stated that there is a difference between silence and peace, and whatever the Government of India is trying to portray through the media is far from reality.
Talking exclusively with The Web Story/The Varmul Post, Congress youth leader Kanhaiya Kumar said, “The situation in Kashmir or what exists here, we are well aware of it. I won’t say that whatever claims the government is making have any truth in them.”

He said, “The government is not conducting these elections of its own accord. When the elections are now being held, they are calling the media and showing that there is peace here.”
However, he said, “I want to tell the Government of India that there is a difference between silence and peace, and we want actual peace, which is missing on the ground. That will happen only when they protect the rights of the people here, and the actual right of the people here is to get their statehood back.”
Kanhaiya Kumar said that the entire Government of India is running a fake and false narrative, and the people of the entire country have been believing this lie for the past 10 years.
