Sopore, May 09 : A 12th grade student from Sopore village in north Kashmir is set to build a solar boat after working on the project for nearly a year and a half.
Mufeera Majeed Khuru, a resident of Doabgah Sopore, has displayed that innovation and invention are not limited to highly qualified individuals.
According to an interview with The Story, Khuru was unable to continue her education due to personal reasons after completing the 12th standard.
“My interest was in physics, which led me to the thought of doing something.
She said that the idea sparked my interest to take action, so I began constructing a solar boat.
“I had a solar light at home that charged via a solar panel during the day and provided illumination in the evening. The idea was solely mine,” she added.
Mufeera said that she took some time to think about how it charges, concentrated on that idea, implemented it in a ship, and also added stream on a ship, which then runs on both solar and stream.
“After long research on this invention, I got a lot more ideas that need time to implement,” she further added
The 12th grade student said it took her nearly 2 years to turn this idea into reality.
“After the completion of the project, I visited many institutions, but everywhere I got disappointed after getting a cold response. Nobody liked my idea or at least appreciated my work,” she added.
Mufeera said that recently she worked on this idea and added a stream to it, and it’s fully functional now.
The young girl from Sopore has made an appeal to the local administration for support in realizing her dream of building a solar ship.
The girl, who has invested considerable time and effort in the project, hopes to build a ship that can carry up to four people at a time.
In her appeal, Mufeera urged the administration to cooperate with her in boosting her talent and making her dream a reality.
She emphasized the importance of renewable energy and highlighted the potential of her project to contribute to a more sustainable future.
