Says Not Just Our Win, It’s For ‘Soporeee’

Sopore, Oct 16: SRM Welkin Higher Secondary School has secured the #1 rank in Sopore according to the prestigious EducationWorld India School Rankings 2025-26.
The ranking, published by India’s leading monthly education publication, EducationWorld Magazine, is a shining example to the school’s unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and holistic education.
Celebrating this milestone, Chairperson Baseema Aijaz shared her pride with The Web Story/The Varmul Post. “We here at Welkin believe that what we deserve, we make sure we get it,”. She said that this award is a proud moment for everyone associated with SRM Welkin, as it once again brings the town of Sopore into the news for its great achievements.
Ms. Aijaz also recounted a poignant moment from the announcement. “When the award was announced on October 13th, the presenters initially mispronounced our town’s name as ‘Soporeee’,” she said. “I proudly say that this award does not just belong to Welkin, but to ‘Soporee’ itself.” She further highlighted that the school is not only considered the best in Sopore but is arguably one of the best in all of Kashmir.
She further said that this achievement as a collective success, acknowledging the dedicated staff, motivated students, and supportive parents who continue to make the institution shine.
