Srinagar Mar. 06 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the integrated development project of the Hazratbal shrine virtually from Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium on March 7.

Official sources told said that PM Modi will also inaugurate the Sonamarg ski drag lift in Ganderbal district.

Sources said that PM Modi is also set to unveil 42 new tourist destinations and launch nine tourism projects, alongside the ‘Chalo India’ campaign, aimed at engaging the Indian diaspora worldwide.

Additionally, PM Modi will distribute appointment letters to 1,000 job aspirants and engage in virtual interactions with beneficiaries of various schemes at the district level. He is also expected to inaugurate the holistic agriculture development programme during his visit.

Meanwhile, a high alert has been sounded across Srinagar while police, CRPF and other security agencies are ensuring close synergy to make the rally a smooth event. Even though the Bakshi Stadium will be open for the general public, security has been intensified across the city.

How’ver reports reaching The Web Story said that Welcome gates, buntings, hoardings, and flags have been put up throughout the city to give it a festive look. Roads, lanes, and streets have been cleaned and sanitized to ensure that everything is in shipshape when PM Modi arrives here.

Approximately 300 hoardings have been set up across the city, and around 10,000 flags have also been placed in the summer capital city of Srinagar.

The last time the PM visited was on February 3, 2019, ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. In November 2015, the Prime Minister addressed a public meeting at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium.
